The title of this album is not exaggerating when it says 'Divas of Jazz'. All of the greats are featured here such as Billie Holliday, Nina Simone, Dinah Washington, Etta James to name but a few. There are a multitude of well loved tracks such as 'Cry me a River', 'Mad About the Boy', Cry me a River' and many, many more.
A wonderful introduction to anyone wanting to discover the greats of female jazz as well as a fantastic addition to the music library of any jazz fan. There are tracks to suit every taste, from the gentle 'bluesy' type numbers to the upbeat. Highly recommended.
