. . then this might be exactly what you're after. I'd been playing for about a year - but my strumming was in a bit of "she'll-be-comin-round-the mountain" sort of a rut. Everything sounded the same. I needed new strumming patterns and a few embellishments - and help putting these together in some recognisable songs. Intermediate Guitar Coach was superb - very easy to get into, very useful facilities (slow down the video - set up loops for practice, chord boxes highlighted as you play etc). Extremely slick and professional product - and you end up playing decent sounding music (inc. contemporary stuff eg. Radiohead). I've tried DVD's and those books with CD's included - but this is the best product I have used to date. 20+ great guitar lessons in a box - so they work out at about a quid each - you cannot go wrong with this product.

Learning the guitar can be a challenge, but is very rewarding. I am a novice myself and This program is helping me alot. First off I tryed learning the guitar from a Book, but this method is much harder. I decided to buy the Beginners guitar Coach before I purchased this Intermediate edition. The begginers CD-rom was a good introduction to the guitar and I found the program very helpful. I have now purchased the Intermediate edition and it is just as impression. What I like about both CD-roms is it clearly tells you how to play a tune and shows you videos of inside the guitar showing how the song should be played. Learning from a book is harder since you can't hear the tune. These CD-roms you can hear the tune how its mean't to be played and you can compare what you are playing on the Guitar. The Intermediate edition expands on the Beginners edition and includes popular songs and tunes to learn then play. If you have absolutely no guitar knowledge then the beginners CD-rom is better.

having completed electric guitar coach, i am most impressed with this follow on course,again it,s very well structured with a good choice of songs plenty of tips, you can slow things down till you,ve grasped it, sound quality excellent, great back up from charanga,s website,if i can proceed with this software anyone can.
