We have just had our 3rd Breville breakmaker break down, we have loved the breads, and it has been in use nearly daily, unfortunately they seem to last no longer than a year, so this time I will be looking for a different make.

Weekends are all the more worthwhile when you can wake up to the smell of fresh bread wafting through the house first thing in the morning...

The Breville Breadmaker is easy to use, relatively easy to clean and comes with a useful, informative recipe book. I've had the machine for 3 weeks and have made bread at every opportunity - and also the pizza dough. I have always been a 'takeaway pizza' person but think I would rather make my own from now on as it is so effortless!!

The only downside to the Breadmaker is the size of the loaf which I think is too big (in terms of height). One slice is equivalent to 2 slices from a bread shop but it this is a minor criticism.

Thoroughly recommend you to buy it if you're looking to purchase a breadmaker!!

We bought an earlier version of this breadmaker.
It really was not that good. Eventually, the stirrer bearing at the bottom of the mixing pan failed (after about 2 years) and, of course the replacement is about half the price of a new machine. I'm told that the current machine uses the same stirrer/mixing bowl so the fault may re-occur on this model.
Also, the machine did not make good white bread and the recipe booklet contained several important mistakes.
Generally, we were not impressed with our (earlier) Breville.

Which? also tested the BR2 model and didn't rate it very well.
Which? magazine recommended the Panasonic - which is the one we bought as our second machine - far superior to our Breville, and we bought it thru the Amazone website of course at the best possible price.
