Synopsis

Series two of the popular drama that tracks the progress of a lush country estate deep in debt in the hands of a successful London restaurateur who would much rather be back in the city. In these episodes, Archie has to contend with a host of financial problems as well as the continual interference of his father. And no sooner doe Archie seem to have succeeded in re-establishing the Glenbogle estate, than a stranger surfaces to contest the title of Monarch of the Glen.

High quality television programming is not a lost art. It is alive and well with the producers, directors, writers, cast and support of Monarch of the Glen. Normally, television writers have a good first year, then slowly slide downhill during the following years. Not with this series. Each year continues to get better and better, with all the plot twists and turns that keep you wondering and awaiting what comes next. I haven't met anyone yet who dislikes this program.
