DVD Description
First appearing on our screens in late 1979, Minder was originally conceived as a vehicle for ex-Sweeney star Dennis Waterman, but its lasting contribution to TV culture was rehabilitating George Cole, whose dapper but slippery "entrepreneur", with his numerous dodgy deals, mockingly reflected the values of 1980’s Thatcherite Britain.

Series 6 bounced back in 1985 after a nine-month break between seasons at the peak of its success. George Cole and Dennis Waterman received awards from the Variety Club of Great Britain as "ITV Personalities of the Year" for their performances in Minder and Leon Griffiths received a BAFTA for his writing on the series. Such was its mainstream popularity that even merchandise was brought out that year, including a Minder computer game and Minder Annual 1986 for the 1985 Christmas season.

From Autumn 1985 this is another great series of Minder. George Cole and Dennis Waterman are on top form throughout the six episodes here.
The only black mark is that there is no appearance of Peter Childs' DS Rycott, with Patrick Malahide appearing in all six as DS 'Cheerful Charlie' Chisholm.

A great collection and fitting tribute to the greatest TV show of all-time.
Artur Daley and Terry are the best duo since Laurel and Hardy and a double act equal to Bushell & Johnson...
I would a re-union for a TV special...
