'Boomkatalog One' is the debut album from brother and sister duo Boomkat. Vocalist Taryn Manning is better known as a Holllywood actress having already appeared in '8 Mile' alongside Eminem. Old school hip hop breaks are fused with pop, soul, electronica and blues-driven vocals. Includes their debut single 'The Wreckoning' alongside 'Wasting My Time' and 'Crazylove' both of which feature on the soundtracks to '8 Mile' and 'Crossroads' respectively.

With the beautiful voice of Taryn Manning and the beats and sounds from her brother Kellin, this bros & sis band are sure to be a huge hit. With the wonderful track the new single to be released 'The Wreckoning'. the band influenced by so many other artists they are sure to have lots of sucess, and so they deserve it. And with the scratch happy shout-out 'crazy love' this album is brilliant. Also features the fantastic track 'Wastin' my time' from the 8mile movie soundtrack (in which she stars in the movie as eminems Ex Janine.
I recomend this album for all music fans seen as though boomkat are influenced by deepech mode, a tribe called quest to Oasis.
All round brilliant album

This album is one of the best i have heard recently. The lead singer is played by one of the main roles in the Britney Spears movie: Crossroads. I found this arist a few weeks ago when playing on CD:UK. They have a very new and fresh sound and their new single "The Wreckoing" is really good and worth a listen. If anybody wants to listen to something different with a slightly pop edge to it, then this is defo worth a purchase. Every song is different and quality music. The album has a sound for everyone and i espically like track no 4, "Wastin my time". This is one of the best sounds i have heard in a long time, So to sum up this album is def worth having a look at and im sure when you purchase it you will feel the same.

Just when you start to think there really is nothing out there, something great comes along. An eclectic style, but it works a treat. Single tracks and album tracks are equally catchy, stylish and brilliantly produced, while Taryn's throaty, blues-ey voice and don't-mess-with-me attitude combine to make an unputdownable CD. I hope the brother/sister team get the recognition they deserve.
