This is a very very good CD. Existing fans of Jadis will be pleased to know that this latest CD is up to the high standards of the band's previous CD's with excellent songs and very fine musicianship.

People who are interested in what used to be called "progressive" music,( Camel, Yes or more modern bands such as IQ or Pendragon) should have a listen to this very fine band.

I feel like I'm part of an 'Invasion of the Bodysnatchers' secenario!

Having a good number of Jadis's previous releases, I was looking forward to this one.

However, I think that they've been taken over by Mike and the Mechanics clones.

Whilst the music is good AOR, it most definitely is NOT prog.

If Jadis continue in this vein then I have bought my last CD.

Perhaps 3 stars is a little mean as this album is better than 90% of the dross you might hear. On the other hand 3 stars is about right compared to the brilliance of earlier albums. So what is the difference with Fanatic? Well for the first time on a Jadis CD there are tracks that are just rubbish (sorry Gary). Tracks 4, 7, 9, 10 are utterly forgettable. But the rest is very good, perhaps not quite as proggy as earlier stuff, but with enough variety to keep things interesting. Recommended.
