Jess Franco directed this film for Eurocine, responsible for the wonderfully atrocious "Cannibal Terror" and it looks like some of the Disco Dancing Cannibal shots are used here.
"Al Cliver"'s family get butchered and kidnapped by cannibals and he returns year later (Minus his arm, which was eaten by the cannibals) to find his daughter. He takes with him a bunch of people and, guess what... Yes, you probably guessed it.
Funky score, and the locations look very unlike a jungle - more like southern spain. The Cannibals are all white. There's a few gore scenes, shot in slow motion. There maybe a plot somewhere. I'm rating this on the Franco-meter, and it gets a 3. God knows what your average punter will think of this.

A family is attacked on their boat by cannibals, the wife is killed & eventually the husband & daughter escapes but she is captured and kept by the cannibals as there White Goddess, years later he returns to rescue his daughter but is again attacked by the tribe.

Jess Franco returns with an utterly ridiculous yet somehow fun cannibal hokum. Dialogue, dubbing, gore, locations (Spanish countryside trying to be jungle) & some very strange shots, are all truly awful and should make this unwatchable but it does have a few not bad points. Al Cliver does a decent job in the lead, although most of the others are around school production level, the story is shaky but for once for Franco holds up until the end and isn't bad. The one thing that really does surprise however is the pace, usually Franco films are painfully slow almost standing still, this does move most of the time and does a decent job at holding your attention.

Made alongside the awful Cannibal Terror DDP 72 Video Nasty this section 3 title shares some of the same footage but its used far better here and is a far more entertaining film (but will still be too bad for a lot of people). Silly but in the right mood this can be fun.

I wasnt expecting much from this film but when i watched it i enjoyed it. Its not the most perfect film in the world but it is a better film to watch than other cannibal movies like Umberto Lenzis DEEP RIVER SAVAGES and EATEN ALIVE and thankfully theres no animal cruelty. So check it out its definitely Worth it.
