We have these phones at work, as we have to leave the office and wander round the building alot, and I find them perfectly adequate. I dont get alot of ansafone messages, so the provision, or lack of, a date/time stamp on messages isn't that important to me, though it would naturally be to others. The phone itself is great, small, like a mobile, and the hands-free mode is very useful when using the computer, though people at the other end complain that you're a bit quieter. All in all, I'm satisfied with this phone, and would recomend it to anyone who wants a good digital cordless phone but doesn't make much use of answering machines.

We bought the BT On-Air Classic as a replacement for our existing home telephone and are very pleased with it so far. It is small, stylish and gives good sound quality. About the same size as most mobile phones it sits in a base unit which charges the phone and doubles as the answerphone. With the ability to store 50 names and numbers and use call waiting and caller display this phone is a good all rounder for the price paid. For businesses looking to make a good impression I imagine this would be ideal as you can comfortably carry it round with you and transfer calls to other units (which you'd have to buy to accompany this set). I'm giving it 4 stars because I think that the display is a bit dated given the progression in communication technology in the recent year and could do with some improvement but overall am very pleased.

This phone certainly gets pass marks for functionality. All of the features that I need on a phone are here, and operating the answering machine is easy and intuitive. The handset is lightweight, and feels comfortable in the hand. Where it falls down however, is in the quality of the display; it is not backlit, and looks like a throw-back to the '80s.
Overall, reasonable value for money for a telephone/answering machine, just a pity about that cheap'n'nasty display.
