4.0 out of 5 stars THe Ultimate House Collection (with 2 glaring flaws), 26 Feb 2003
This really is one of the most complete House compilation albums ever created. Recent hits like Tim Deluxe - It Just Wont Do, Who Da Funk - Shiney Disco Balls, and Love Inc - Youre A Superstar, are all included alongside classics such as Ultra Nate - Free, Black Legend - You See The Trouble In Me, and Alison Limerick - Where Love Lives. Also included are perhaps 3 of the greatest House tunes ever created in Camisra - Let Me Show You, Phats And Small - Turn Around, and Roger Sanchez - Another Chance. However, there are 2 blindingly obvious, major flaws with this compilation: Firstly, the inclusion of Kira - Ill Be Your Angel is extremely questionable. This is an extremely good tune, but it is a TRANCE tune, and who ever at the record label who said to include this tune on a house compilation should be shot (or have their ears checked out by a doctor!). The second, and quite frankly criminal flaw of this compilation, is the exclusion of Modjo - Lady. Perhaps THE single greatest House tune ever created has somehow been forgotten and not included on this House compilation (and perhaps been replaced by the cheese-pop Ann Lee - Two Times!).
Overall, these 2 flaws, although glaringly evident, do not take anything away from the compilation that this album is. It still combines some of the best House tunes of all time and gives them to you all on 2 cds. My only final critisism would be that the tunes arent exactly mixed together, but rather beat-matched, and then swapped straight over from one tune to the next.
4.5 out of 5 stars.

By A Customer
all the classics are here so if you want them all in one place this is the cd for you, the reason i am writing this review is it is the only place i have ever seen the amazingly rare perfecto remix of alison limerick - love lives.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best House Complilation Ever???!!, 2 Aug 2003
The Euphoria compilations continue with arguably the best house complation ever released. And that's some feat considering the hundreds released before. However this is no mean boast as the compilation contains most the best of past and present tunes. All the classic hits are here such as 'Sing It Back' by Moloko, 'Return of the Space Cowboy' by Jamiroquai and 'Big Love' by Pete Heller as well as more recent efforts like Love.Inc's 'You're A Superstar' and Who Da Funk's 'Shiny Disco Balls'. Nearly every track you could think of as here.
Where the compialtion falls down is that it is poorly mixed unlike most Euphoria compilations partly because of the poor track listing. Also there is the omission of Modjo's 'Lady (Hear Me Tonight)' and the inclusion of Ann Lee (?), Kira's 'Ill Be Your Angel' and the Frankie Knuckles remix of Toni Braxton's 'Unbreak My Heart' which, while its a great mix, seems carelessly tacked onto the end of the first cd.
All in all, its well worth buying this if you don't expect a well-mixed and completely definitive collection of house music (though it comes pretty close!!).
