Bishop Allen are fab-i first heard of them by being a bit of a fan of christian rudder-one of the founders of thespark.com If nothing else this album makes you grin from ear to ear!

Nice little album from a very young, talented band from USA. A must have if you like casual tunes and light-hearted daily-life impressions. Nice, but a little amateur. We must see if they make it big one day.

Bishop Allen sound like a band of real people. They're rough around the edges, the guitar playing gets in a bit of a fankle sometimes, the production values consistantly fail to reach a sheen. But this is what makes them fresh and exciting and different. Their songs take you on a tumble through unexpected ground and can't fail to leave you buzzed and smiling.

High points are "Busted Heart" (a song you swear must be a cover that's been around the block a few times, it's so sure-footed and familiar), "Bishop Allen Drive" and the title track. Charm School is a lesson how simple and joyful music can be if you have great tunes.

Bishop Allen are having fun, and it sounds it too. They can't fail to get even better. Buy this CD before they make it big and impress your friends!
