Synopsis
The information age is here and the ECW, as always, is up on all the new technology. Always a favorite for its no holds barred wrestling wrestling style, the ECW brings its updated technology to Philadelphia, PA for Cyberslam '99. Though the event may sound futuristic, it is a safe bet that the Philly fans won't be using their PDAs during this marathon of hardcore wrestling.

5.0 out of 5 stars ECW:The greatest wrestling promotion ever, 12 Jun 2003
This is the first time im writing a review so i hope it helps u.

Cyber Slam 99 is 1 of the non pay per view shows that are only available on dvd/vhs.Here are the matches and info on them:

1.Jerry Lynn V Tajiri
This is a great opening match. Fast paced with some great moves by both men. Jerry Lynn is a great wrestler who never should have been fired by WWE. 8/10

2.Rod Price V Super Nova.
Rubbish is a word rarely used with ECW but this match was.3/10

3.Super Crazy V El Masco

Fantastic high flying match by two great wrestlers.Aerial moves that will make your jaw drop.I wish Super Crazy would sigh for the WWE. Bit of a crap ending and crazy leaves p****d off.9/10

4.Papi Chulo(Essa Rios) V Taka Michinoku

Another great match that shows the WWE can see talent or use wrestlers with talent properly.Fast paced, highflying, great moves this match has them all.9/10

5.Rob Van Dam V Too Cold Scorpio

I was looking forward to this match and i wasnt disappointed. RVD could have a good match with a tree and make it goog but TCS is a great wrestler to.Some great aerial offence as usual with these 2 wrestlers. 8/10

6.Taz V Chris Candido

Taz is a wrestler, not a commentator. He can beat anyone and his is a good example of all the moves Taz was banned from using while in the WWE. Brutal ending which involves a table and a injured neck. 7/10

7.Shane Douglas V Justin Credible.

Another good match which i thought would be poor but wasnt.Lots of blood and canes. 7/10

8.New Jack,Balls Mahoney,Axl Rotten V Dudley Boys@Mustafa

WOW.This cage match is EXTREME.Lots of weapons, tons of blood and a extreme dive from New Jack.Brilliant way to end a great dvd.9/10

Hope this helps you buy this dvd.If it doesnt buy it to prove me wrong. ECW ECW ECW ECW

5.0 out of 5 stars An Extreme Event, 6 April 2003
This dvd is a typical example of ECW at one of its greatest times.
The match list:
Jerry Lynn vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri:
A typical Jerry Lynn match with some great moves.

Super Nova vs. Rod Price
An OK match but it does get better....

Super Crazy vs. El Mosco de la Merced
An amazing high flying matchup some great Luchador moves. Definately worth seeing

Taka Michinoku vs. Papi Chulo
Almost like the other match but not as high flying. Still a great match.

Rob Van Dam vs. Too Cold Scorpio
Another great match for RVD some very good technical moves here. Another match worth seeing.

Taz vs. Chris Candido
A match that goes all over the building here that comes to a "breaking" end.

Shane Douglas vs. Justin Credible
Great match, some great moves and lots of ane swinging goings on in this match.

Finally, the Wargames Steel Cage Match
Mustafa and the Dudley Boyz vs. New Jack, Balls Mahoney and Axl Rotten
A VERY hardcore match that features barbed wire, thumbtacks and a pair of scissors (ouch!) lots of blood, lots of carnage, lots of weapons all locked in a steel cage. Great finish to an excellent DVD.

Its definately worth seeing, the quality is average and the matches are excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars ECW Cyberslam '99 is brilliant!, 30 April 2003
This is simply one of ECW's greatest cards of all time with the exceptions of Heatwave '98 and Anarchy Rulz '99. It features several outstanding matches such as Jerry Lynn vs. Tajiri, Super Crazy vs. ElMasco, Taka Michinoku vs. Papi Chulo (more recently seen as Essa Rios in the WWF/E) and even Shane Douglas vs. Justin Credible. There is a very good arena wide brawl between Taz&Chris Candido for the world title and a super bloody war games style cage match between Balls,Axl& New Jack vs. The Dudleys&Mustafa.
This is brilliant card which only features one really crap match between Nova &Rod Price and RVD VS. Scorpio isn't that good either featuring some particularly sloppy moves, but these minor critisms aside, this is well worth the price. But be warned, the cage match main event is not for the squimish as it does get extremely bloody.
