This album takes the Optometry collaboration and gives the music to the middle rabble of modern musical folk and lets them provide interpretations of the music and other aspects of life.
It isn't an amazing dub album, there are no 5 minute dub echoes and it is a rare occasion when you hear the jungly voice of Lee Scratch Perry Fan, trickling dub poetry over the music.
THere are definate breaks to DJ Spooky's mode of musical deliverence. It is a structured album and intended to bring a simple lift of Dub to his complex interpretation of simple musical styles.
I don't know how to review this album, it doesn't really suit words. I bought it because I bought Optometry. I like it because it is simple unobtrusive. It doesn't inspire the masses to a revolution like some dub. It is based on a jazz/classical improv album. I would say that on any give trip to this web site on any given day, with any given twenty pound note in your back pocket you should make sure you swap it for this album.
