The criminally underrated Soft Top, Hard Shoulder features a number of excellent, if often stereotypical, performances from a top-notch cast. Peter Capaldi makes for an endearing lead, hilariously (and often) losing his cool. Scotland and Scottish humour are well represented, and the film even comes complete with a ludicrously sentimental happy ending. Well worth checking out.
