Product Description

CD Description
Debut album from New York band whose melodic, catchy, radiofriendly rock is influenced primarily by Brit bands such asOasis, Muse, Primal Scream and the Stone Roses, but adds powerpop, classic rock and even emo touches. Was produced by Brad Jones (Ass Ponys, The Shazam, Steve Forbert), whose tough, raw production job avoids the overly slick sound which tends to afflict records of this ilk.

5.0 out of 5 stars america does oasis better, 9 Jun 2004
By S. L. Jones Anderson (newcastle uk) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
after seeing the 'cade' support the excellent Jesse Malin on the recent UK tour i feel compellend to write this review as the only other one on here is a tad harsh.

this band have as much to do with grunge as kerrang has to do with actual music. Ok they may have slight hint of Oasis meets BRMC in the musical style but seriously is that such a bad thing?! in my opinion no. Oasis one last surviving bands of the great Britpop era and BRMC new up n comers.

The album blends subtle melodic passionate soaring vocals with down beat indie melencholly on certain 'slower' tracks but fuses this with 'balls to the wall' classic rock n roll stylings in the sort of manner any appriciator of old skool rock with new wave ethics would surely approve of.

In short if your a fan of good rock n rool with a nice sentimental angle on certain tracks with a larger than life stage persona this would indded be your 'bag' as a great actor once put. If you like your standard NME indie drivel like the libertines everyone raves about stay away....

For fans of genuine rock n roll only.
