A truly brilliant game from 1997, and the true start of multi-storyline games.
Set in the year 2026, the player takes the role of Jack Burton, a marine bomb dispossal expert, sent into Area 51 after a group of scientist rebelled. What begins as a simple disarm-the-bombs turns into an epic adventure, and who knows, you might not be human at the end of it.
Action is third-person as you guide Burton around the complex.
Several nice touches include the ability to talk to nearly every character you com across, the main characters reveal chilling hints as to what is really going on, aiding you in your decission as to who you'll eventually end up working for/with.
You can even change your attitude, and this understandibly alters how people will react to you. Although its' fun to hear some of the stuff Jack says with a 'HOSTILE' attitude, it doesn't help when you meet one of the main characters.
There are four storylines to choose from; you can join the scientist in their fight for freedom, become an alien/human hybrid, led a marine squad, or simple follow orders. The graqphics are good for its age, and in all, a very good, if slightly short and hurried game.
