5.0 out of 5 stars A 'management' sim with a difference!, 10 Aug 2003

(TOP 500 REVIEWER)
After playing Theme Park, I was keen and eager to see how Chris Sawyer and his band of merry men converted this PC classic onto the XBox. Here are the strong and weak points for you all.

STRONG POINTS:-
===============
+ Very good menu interfaces
+ Easy to get use to quickly
+ Plenty of variety
+ Over 80 ride types (from Rollercoasters to Merry go rounds)
+ Employ staff! (Handymen, Mechanics, Security, etc)
+ Design own rides or go on pre-designed rides
+ Build Burger Bars, Chip Shops, Ice Cream Parlours, etc and charge people rip off prices!
+ Scenarios are good (Comes with 2 add on packs that werent included in PC original).
+ You can control Alton Towers or Blackpool Pleasure Beach!

WEAK POINTS:-
=============
- Highly Addictive (Or is that a good thing?!)
- Quite hard for newcomers
- Graphics havent changed a bit since PC original
- Sound and music can prove to be annoying and testing at times

OVERALL:- I love it. Simple as that. Brought it 2 months ago, and my cat is a lot thinner, as I keep neglecting it. It is simple, addictive, and fun to play, but could prove taxing for newcomers who have never played this kind of game. Patience is a virtue people! Remember that! And to feed your cat!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Totally Addictive, 2 Nov 2003
By A Customer
well where do i start, I played this game on the pc when it was released and was addicted within an hour. I have recently purchased it for the xbox, and im addicted all over again! some people complain about the fact that you have to use a control pad, but that takes nothing out the game, it took me about 15 minutes to get to grips with it but after that ive i only left it to eat and sleep. The graphics arn't improved from the original pc version but that takes nothing away from it. You still get all the thrills of designing and building your own park, hiring firing staff and changing the landscape with trees or loads of architecture. The Xbox version even includes two of the bonus packs which wern't included with the original so you get triple the fun for less! I picked this game up for under £20 on the Amazon Marketplace, it was the best £20 i spent this year! If you liked the original but didn't own it or even if you like the idea or building rollercoasters in your own park or runnig alton towers or blackpool pleasure beach, BUY THIS GAME!

5.0 out of 5 stars Additive, 27 Aug 2004
By A Customer
rollercoaster tycoon is one of the most addivitive games on the xbox it also proves that gameplay can be better then graphics.
If you like games that you have to bulid up and that you can control almost everything in your power then this is the game for you. it also is like i said before very addivitive in terms that you can never get bored of the game due to its amount of detail of which you can do in your park.
overall i reconmend anyone that loves building and designing games that you should get this due to its the best one on the x box
