5.0 out of 5 stars Great Recordings Indeed!!, 27 Nov 2008
By Scriabinmahler (Cambridge UK) - See all my reviews
(TOP 500 REVIEWER)
There are five recordings of Grieg conceto by Richter as far as I know, and I've never come across more intensely beautiful and gripping performance than Richter's accounts for 30 years of CD huntung. This one is certainly the best recorded performance and one of the great recordings among the five, with the dazzling rendition of 1st and 3rd movement and the awe-inspiringly sublime slow movement.

Schumann's concerto is also outstanding, finely sculpted and wonderfully delicate. Definitely a must buy for anyone after serious pianism!
