I came to this CD via The Brave’s earlier music - Sacred Spirit I and II, Indigo Spirit, Moroccan Spirit and the Blues and Jazz Chill Out series. This is my favourite and in the words of Anthony Head in his sleeve notes “The Brave has chosen some of the field’s most venerable composers, JS Bach, Beethoven, and Samuel Barber, but instead of just tossing some electronic beats over the music, he approached each song with respect and has delicately added contemporary elements to enhance the works without drowning them out”.
It has been done before in albums by States of Grace and Cafe del Mar but this is the best in my opinion. So well done Mr Brave, you have produced a majestic album. Looking forward to volume 2 - and may I suggest you consider a Choral Classics
too!!!!
