3.0 out of 5 stars Barber shorn of finesse, 5 Oct 2009
By Scouse Kraus (Liverpool, England) - See all my reviews
It's almost always worth taking a punt on Naxos CDs given they normally represent excellent value for money (that is good music as well as being cheap). On this occasion, I fear it represents false economy. The agnus dei sounds flat in both senses. Nowhere near the quality of the Marin Alsop/Bournemouth orchestral discs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Some good, some bad. Worth the money, just., 28 April 2009
By Nicky B (Merre England) - See all my reviews

I was a little disappointed by this CD. There were a couple of good tracks, but the majority were a little bland and insipid. Worth buying, but don't get too excited waiting for it to be delivered!
