I bought this phone for my elderly mother,the LCD screen is large and clear,the number buttons clear ,large and easy to use.The use of the speech amplifier was a major plus on this phone and easy to increase or decrease volume so may plus points to list.Amazon by far the cheapest to buy this phone from.

Say what you like about BT , believe you me I always have - those
bloody annoying money wasting tv ads of theirs used to make my blood boil , but they have always sold top quality telephones under their name. Needed to buy a new phone for my father & wasted my time by buying 2 phones from argos around the 30 quid mark but the quality of the handsfree was very poor.Thought I'd bite the bullet & see what BT were doing and was amazed to find this phone at under £40 on amazon, was only a few years ago you had to pay over a £100 for a BT phone.Ordered it , amazon was at least £25 cheaper than anyone else I could find !, and its a pucker phone & my Father is chuffed to bits.Actually so impressed I'm going to get one for myself now ! If your looking for a quality well featured phone with a decent mic & speaker you surely cant do better than this & take advantage of amazons generous price.

Have just received and set up this phone. I bought it because I get poor reception on my DECT phones and needed one with a clearer line. Reception via the handset is fine but the speakerphone is a bit crackly to listen to. The handsfree mic comes across clearly at the other end though.
Unfortunately I had assumed, (or perhaps been misled by the Caller display 1000 blurb displayed on the same page) that the phone supported Caller ID but it does not have this service. The LCD screen is just for displaying the time and for use as a calculator. I consider this a fundamental omission on a phone of this price.
