5.0 out of 5 stars Mortal Kombat at it's finest, 21 Feb 2004
By Steven M. Budd "Stevie B" (England, U.K) - See all my reviews

Well, where can I start? This 'Queen' DVD of Conquest is brilliant! Good acting, good martial art skills, and 2 very good episodes (Noob Saibot and In Kold Blood).

Both episodes has the very sexy Asian playmate Sung Hi Lee staring as a character called Kiri, who you later find out in the series is Reptiles right-hand woman (when I say sexy, I mean completely eye-dropping gorgeous!). She plays a very good/funny part with her female 'Friend' aswell as trying to free Netherealm fighter Noob Saibot to kill Kung Lao.

The best fight in this DVD for me, Is the Reptile vrs one of his Lieutenants. Closely followed by Noob Saibot vrs Kung Lao. All the fighs are good to be honest, but those two have the 'wow-factor' in them.

BEFORE you get this DVD, It might be wise to get the 'Kreeya' DVD first as there are a few things that won't make much sence unless you have watched that before hand as the character Kreeya is in this Queen DVD also.

I myself have every Mortal Kombat Conquest DVD and THIS is my favourite. The others are very good also but In my opinion this is the better. So, If your a fan of Mortal Kombat, this is a must. and even If your not, you will still enjoy this action packed adventure! 10/10! Awesome!! Hope this has helped you..

4.0 out of 5 stars MK Queen, 16 Jun 2003
By Joćo Sena (Lisbon, Portugal) - See all my reviews
Again, the makers of this DVD make no justice to the series. The two mortal kombat conquest episodes contained in this DVD are Noob Saibot, and In Kold Blood, which are linked together. Again, this is a wrong thing of them to do, as in the episode Kold Blood, the character Kreeya is very important, however, she is never mentioned in episode Noob Saibot. Still, these are two great episodes. As usual, the music is perfect, the acting is good, special effects ok, fights flawless. In episode Kold Blood, there's a fight between Reptile and one of his generals, who turns agaisn't him for joining forces with Kreeya. This fight has got to be one of the best fights in the history of television. Great martial arts action, with almost never before seen moves and this incredibly cool tune which really gives the fight a mystical and reptile-ish feeling. Although Noob Saibot doesn't have some of the best fights in the series, it's still a pretty good episode, with porn star Sung Hi Lee portraying a seer who leads Siro to unleashing the ninja Noob Saibot upon Zhu Zhin, and the ninja's objective is to kill Kung Lao. Siro has to learn the value of team work and leave his foolish pride behinde.
In episode Kold Blood, the empress Kreeya returns to Earth Realm. Kung Lao, Siro and Taja go out into the forest, hunting for Kreeya's hives. Siro runs into an hive, and just as he is about to blow it up with his explosive, a Reptilic warrior apears and a fight begins. In the end of the fight, Siro gets knocked out cold but Kiri and Ankha(the seers from Noob Saibot) help him, killing the Reptile. The two female fighters return Siro to the trading post, along with Kung Lao and Taja. Aparantly, Kreeya has made an alliance with the Reptiles, adding them up to Kung Lao's long list of enemies. They must stop Kreeya from building more hives, before her warriors are born and Earth Realm gets taken over!
Overall, one of the best MKC DVDs out there.
