It's one thing to have a great television show in the form of Smallville, but the thing that makes it so great is the overall quality of it. This is where the music comes into play with differing genres from rock, to indie, this soundtrack contains all the magic of the show which portrays all the moods and feelings perfectly. Granted, there are only 12 songs, but this encaptulates everything brilliantly and allows the listener to really appreciate and grow to love these tunes at a quicker rate than say a double disk set would. There is no doubt that this is an astounding collection of songs which cater for all moods and indeed tastes. Instantly listenable tracks are the fantastic Remy Zero's "Save Me", my favourites include Five For Fighting and an amazing track from Lifehouse. If you like the show, and music in general, you must buy this.

Smallville was the WBs big hit show of last year. Set in Smallville the home of Clark Kent it chronicles his younger years. Smallville has all the ingredients of Superman, Lex Luthor, Lana Lang and some new faces. Combined with mind blowing special effects, excellent storylines Smallville also comes with a truly superb soundtrack. With songs like Remy Zero’s ‘Save Me’ and the late Eva Cassidy’s Time After Time the album is a must for all Smallville sounds, however this only gets 4/5 as there are not a huge amount of songs on this album, and as most Smallville fans know there are 4 or 5 songs an episode, however the CD is an enhanced cd which has so many extra features it could almost be called a DVD. Although it is possible that a CD per season will be released and with the likes of Oasis, Nelly and JXL Vs Elvis already featuring in Season2 of Smallville it can only get better.With Season 1 part 1 of Smallville out later this year, this soundtrack is a good starting point for any Smallville fan.

I didn't know that such a soundtrack existed but I really loved all of the background music throughout the series. I came on Amazon.co.uk and found this. It's full of great artists and the opening theme tune is excellent. With Five for Fighting and Eva Cassidy, this CD is enough to excite any smallville fan.
