Which is what i did with my first review! Iv`e been away,come back, and listened again without predjudice.Something must have upset me first time around- I don`t know what! This SCHEHERAZADE is in fact pretty good,with excellent SACD sound(STEREO)--I`m not interested in surround sound! There is no doubt Valery Gergiev is a very fine conductor,--Buy with confidence.

THIS IS AN AMMENDMENT TO MY FIRST COMMENTS REGARDING MR. GERGIEVS INTERPRETATION OF -SHEHERAZADE-. I STILL FEEL IT LACKS ENERGY AND VITALITY, SPECIFICALLY IN THE FIRST TWO MOVEMENTS, WHICH I WOULD DESCRIBE AS "LANGUID". HOWEVER, IT DOES GET GOING IN THE LAST MOVEMENT, ALMOST THE ANTITHESIS OF THE FIRST TWO! I ONLY GIVE IT "TWO STARS" FOR A RATHER UNEVEN PERFORMANCE.

I`ve been away; I`ve come back;I`ve cleared my head of all preconceived thoughts,and i have listened again to this piece.There is no doubt i was too sharp in my criticisms of this preformance.It is in fact nicely played and executed,with first class SACD sound and can be recommended without hesitation!
