At time of writing, this double CD is a fiver in the Amazon New Year sale. Frankly, unless you were to donate it to charity, you won't spend a better fiver all week long.
For a kick off, you get two CD's.
Secondly, they're both good.
The first disc contains more 'contemporary' chilled stuff from the likes of Moby, Jean Michel Jarre, Groove Armada, Jakatta and the always superb Chicane.
Disc Two contains a greater span of classical and soundtrack-based instrumental content, still beautifully selected and pleasing to the ear and heart alike.
Another point is that as with any compilation, one often picks up on a certain track or piece that is particularly pleasing, and further investigation into the artist reveals further wonderful aural discoveries!
As the review title says, this collection is well worth the cost, even at full price, as it does what it says on the case and is very relaxing and soothingly melodic. Enjoy!

This is one of the "Classic Chillout" series of albums, and does not disappoint to follow up the previous albums, however it also avoids recycling all of the same tracks, so even if you own the other albums its still worth getting this new addition.

The track listing is ecclectic, for want of a better word, and contains several tracks which you won't have heard of, and others which you will only recognise on hearing.

There are several tracks taken from adverts on the television but these are often quiue obscure such as the song from the Kronenberg 1664 advert.

The album is just perfect for putting on quietly while you have a bubble bath and sip a glass of ice cold wine. Its actually very versatile, I listen to it while working, reading, relaxing and while cooking.

It basically perfect for all of those times when you find yourself thinking that it would be nice to listen to some music.

Classic chillout by name, classic chillout by nature.
