This program functions some what like a vocabulary program, but it covers grammar as well. I would recomend it as it goes beyond GCSE syllabus in A-level. It is by far one of the most complete computer programs for language learning I have ever come across.

However it does lack the opportunity to practice listening to longer texts as you move on. In order to take A-level exams in a language subject this is essential. It is fairly suitable for GCSE level studies.

I would recomend that you buy it as cheap as possible, but also get hold of something like "tell me more chinese" by auralogue simply to practice dialogues and longer texts. Also write a few essays concerning the themes set in the syllabus.

Although it lack variety, it is an invaluable tool.
