5.0 out of 5 stars Casino Empire - Oceans' Eleven or Bobs' Zero, 18 Feb 2003
By A Customer
although there is a limited range on the casinos that you can operate, in each one your imagination can run freely throughout the marble halls and busy floors (according to how much floats in the cellar and what stars are reeling in the chips)
The first time i played this game i got hooked on it automatically. Although it took a while to get to grips with the buyitems/spendmoney ratio (in other words i kept going broke) i managed to grasp it and produced a fully operational functional money pit!!! i would recommend this game to all those economical gamers as well as blood, money and liquerthirsty go getters that can't afford Vegas so will settle for the next best thing.... a vegas simulator!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, if you like that sort of thing........, 12 Feb 2003
By Lindsey (United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
Casino Empire is quite a good game to play, especially at the start. It is fun watching all the different things that happen but after a while it can get a bit boring.

The scenarios seem to take quite a long time because various things such as; you need money to get people in, but you need to get people in to get money. As you can see its a vicious circle.

Do get the game if you like things like 'The Sims' and 'Roller Coaster Tycoon', but don't bother if it doesn't appeal to you strait away.

The game is really good and isn't at a bad price so give it a go, and have fun!

2.0 out of 5 stars What a load of RUBBISH!!!!, 30 Dec 2002
I bought this game two days ago and I have finished playing already. The object of the game is that you are manager of a casino and you have certain goals to achieve in a certain amount of time. You must built the casino up and bring in the punters and the money. Also you can only put in a certain amount of stuff until you have achieved the criteria of 100 people and $25,000.00. Once you have done that then other items become available to build etc. The first three mission are very easy. The fourth is quite hard but by that time you have lost inerest in the game.I thought that as this was by Sierra who also made the Zeus, Master of Olympus, Empror etc it would be a good game to buy. Don't bother. There is absolutely nothing to keep you interested. Once you have done about three of the missions it gets boring. Basically all missions are the same with only slight variance to the goals. Nothing really happens, zzzzzzzz.....
