4.0 out of 5 stars queen adreena review, 30 Nov 2002
Noisy yet melodic, Katie-Jane Garside sounds as angry as ever on the first track, F. M. Doll, the line 'strip baby strip' gets stuck in your head, undeniably catchy, very Queen Adreena.
The second track, 'Kissing My Disgrace' begins with a quieter 'Madraykin' (from 'Taxidermy') style sound but builds up to produce quite a pronounced, disturbing effect, something like P.J. Harvey in her 'To Bring To You My Love' phase, a very good track also, this c.d. is definitely worth buying.

5.0 out of 5 stars Queenadreena FM Doll rview, 15 Jul 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: FM Doll (Audio CD)
After the well-received second album DRINK ME comes this new single. FM DOLL takes off pretty much where the album left off - bowel-shaking drums, searing guitars and, of course, Katie Jane Garside's unhinged vocals.

Plenty of singers attempt the look-at-me-I'm-insane delivery with little conviction, but Garside's performance is something else. Whispering conspiratorially one second, screaming the walls down the next - and occasionally singing in between - she has the rare ability to actually unsettle the listener by seemingly genuinely disturbed.

B-side KISSING MY DISGRACE is more of a lo-fi bluesy dirge, a fitting comedown after the tantrum of the main track. This single is unlikely to win them any new fans, but the Goth n' roll crowd should love it.

This single is amazing - just a cool, cool song. The re-release shall be out on march 21 and is to have on it the much sought after video. It is apparently to be re-released as it is with a new record label (One Little Indian) and is to be one of the singles on the new album "Butcher and the Butterfly," also to be released this year.
If you can't wait - buy this version.
"Strip, baby, Strip
cos yo' Daddy is watchin'!"
Go, girl!
