Upon hearing 'Electrical Storm' for the first time I wasn't sure if it matched up to past hits, but this new sound of U2 grows on you and becomes all that is contained within U2 tracks, from the lyrics through to the deep heart-touching meanings. The pace of this track is a bit slow but has some fine instrumental touches which strike individual feelings of fulfillness as in most of U2's tracks. This single may not be for everyone but if you appreciate other works of U2 then you will almost certainly warm to this unique sound of Bono and his matured singing power.

Although I really rated the last album, I still firmly follow the school of thought that 'Achtung Baby' is the best U2 album to date. This single recalls the best moments from that record, all atmospheric soundscapes and subtle but brilliant melodies. The bridge to the chorus really catches you and a month on, I am struggling to get it out of my head.
