Back Cover: Tom Selleck stars as Jon Alrdrich, a man who has it all, great job, beautiful wife and kids, and a dream house. That is, until, his aging and somewhat addled parents move in with him. Then his perfect life begins to disintegrate, his wife leaves him, he’s fired and investigated by the FBI for insider trading, his sister and her unruly kids get booted out by her boyfriend and move in, and his assets are frozen. How could things get any worse?

Synopsis
Jon Aldrich, an all around nice guy, inadvertently becomes the target of an FBI sting. But compared to everything else in his life, that doesn't seem so bad.

I have always thought Tom Selleck was a brilliant actor but in this movie, he is the best. To say things go bad for him is an understatement, but the twist at the end definitely makes up for it. I am unsure if I would be prepared to go through what he has, to get those rewards though. If you want to laugh for an hour or so, buy this! You will not be disappointed.

My husband and I have seen this movie several times. It's light entertainment, and can be quite funny in parts. At other times, rather off the wall. Nevertheless, good viewing.

Well Tom Selleck and comedy should be enough after his comedy double 'Three Men...'. This also has Don Ameche who steals the show playing a father with a health condition which starts to change Jon's life (Tom Selleck). When you see how perfect Jon's life is at the start to how the poor guy is at the end you wonder what has he got to smile about? To be trueful, I've watched this now over 9 nine times that's when I had it on VHS then on DVD. It is one of those comedies you can't get tired of watching. If other peoples misfortunes often make you laugh. THEN... your not only sick like me but this comedy is for you.
