5.0 out of 5 stars Where no episode has gone before..., 23 Oct 2002
The first episode, "Fallen Hero" boasts a new and imaginative story line, one where the vulcans are seen to be acting in the interests of another race (no offence to our pointy eared readers out there). It also shows of an excellent female british actress, who seems very familiar. This episode leaves you in a good mood, especially in the end, when the vulcans come to the rescue. The viewer, well, I at least, got a feeling that maybe the vulcans aren't that bad, and that Captain Archer and his crew aren't alone in the galaxy.
The second episode, "Desert Crossing" boasts a very impressive soundtrack. The musical score, in my opinion should be available for this episode only, especially the 'Alien game sequence'. The soundtrack is original and sometimes quite comical. On the whole, this episode is a fight for survival in a very inhospitable environment (judging by the title, I'll give you one guess as to that environment.)
This is one of the best VHS tapes available for the Enterprise first season, and even rivals the episode "Shuttlepod One" in greatness and originality. A must have on every star trek fans shelf.
