This review is from: The Gondoliers [1982] (VHS Tape)

While The Gondoliers is one of Gilbert & Sullivan's finest operettas, it is not at all well saerved by this adaptation. The whole thing is as dull as ditchwater, with choreography and acting virtually non-existent. If you want to watch people singing songs while pulling strange faces and sitting motionless on thrones, by all means buy this video, but if not you'd be better served with a CD. A missed opportunity.
