I bought this cd just for Richter's piano part in Schumann's Quintet. As I expected it turned out to be a captivating performance of the work played with much warmth and slavic pathos by Borodin Qt. Richter's playing is masterfully controlled and noble as in his other chamber music recordings like Dvorak, Franck & the most notably Trout Quintet.
