For those who like bands like Big Star, Teenage Fanclub, Jellyfish & The Wondermints, this should be a great budget=priced discovery. More great power pop in the September Gurls-mode, The Scruffs are a band missing in action and waiting to be rediscovered- now with this reissue it is possible to find out for yourself and like a band such as Radio Birdman, the band can become appreciated from a distance. Say Yea!

Well all the reviews and commentary on Power Pop always reference the Scruffs as the oft forgetten kings of the genre, and whilst they undoubtedly deliver, especially on "she says yea" its not as fresh as you'd hope for. Still if you're car is parked outside the Teenage Fanclub Scout hut, its a worthwhile purchase.
