Lots of classic ECW matches on one tape, 23 Oct 2002
This tape contains many memorable ECW matches and is very entertaining. It starts of with the RVD/Jerry Lynn match that took place at Hardcoore Heaven '99 and is a very good match for RVD's TV title. I have heard people say that this is the best ECW TV title match of all time but I would have to disagree. Sure this is a highly entertaining match but it is not as good as their match two months before at Living Dangerously. Jerry Lynn gets knocked out for a few minutes which I think hinders the quality of the match but it is still very good.(****) The next match is the Awesome/Tanaka match from November to Remember '99 which is a great match with lots of sick chairshots and powerbombs through tables. This is one of the only two highlights from November to Remember and is a very good choice for this video.(****) After that is the No Rope Barbed Wire Death Match between Raven and Sandman for the ECW world title. These two hardcore brawlers are caught in their prime and it shows. Raven and Sandy allow themselves to take a tremendous amount of punishment and put forth a great effort(****). Dudleys vs Spike and Balls Mahoney is up next and they fight up and down the arena in a good brawl using foreign objects to hit eachother with. The match ending powerbomb through two flaming tables is insane and puts a great end to a good brawl.(***1/2). The Eliminators v Dr Death and Terry Gordy is a pasable match but is probably on the tape only for the most deathdefying elbow drop in wrestling history. The Eliminators, one of the best combinations in wrestling history must have been having a bad day but this match is worth seeing for the elbow drop alone.(**1/2) The Sabu v Taz match taken from barely legal is the classic match which ECW kept it's fans waiting 15 months for and was never going to live up to the hype. Nonetheless, this match is worthy of it's place on the tape as it contains good wrestling, brawling and a few highspots. The ending has a shocking swerve involving RVD which started possibly the best tandem in ECW history.(****) The tape is ended with the Douglas/Francine v Dreamer/ Beaulah which is second passable match on the cassette. It also has the traditionl catfight between Francine and Beulah.(**1/2) All in all, this is a great tape and contains four **** matches, one ***1/2 match and two **1/2 matches. It is a tape that I would recomend you add to you ECW collection. If you had the choice of getting only one ECW video, I would have to recomend Path of Destruction but this would come close in second place. This is a great example of what made ECW the best promtion in wrestling.

ecw average buy, 24 Dec 2003
By A Customer
ECW extreme evolution is a good tape. RVD vs Jerry Lynn was a sick match with Jerry being knocked out for a few minutes. Tables, chairs, high flyin moves as well, obviously, was in the match. Next match, Awesome Tanaka for ECW title ,another sick match, tables, chairs ,some sick powerbombs in the match as well. But these are the only two decent matches on the tape. Barb wire match between Sandman, Raven was average. Eliminators vs Bam Bam Terry Gordy was average.I would recommend any fan to buy it. It is a good tape apart for a few crap matches.Buy it.
