The ouija says "all die" ... i nearly did - of fright!!, 12 Mar 2006
Wow! This movie REALLY hit a nerve - the nerve that caused my hand to grab for several cushions to hide behind! Before watching this movie, I had not really heard a great deal about it. It is, after all, a virtually unheard of director and an all british cast! However, after watching it I cand for the life of me fathom WHY I hadn't heard more about it! The basic idea of the movie is a bunch of rowdy students, who, whilst drunk and / or high decide to play the ouija board as a joke... with disasterous consequences. The movie follows the ill-fated group, lead by Joe Absolam (of eastenders fame <but much better suited to his role in long time dead>), as each one of them tries to avoid being picked off. The theme of the movie is very well researched and highly accurate which is always pleasing - it means the writers & directo actually care about what they put out! The movie is full of twists, turns and jump moments! Its fairly unpredictable too, which is a frefreshing change! I spent 2/3rds of my time watching from behind a scatter cushion with my heart trying to jump out of my chest... and then had to sleep with the lights on for the next two nights!!! Excellent movie that is well worth watching!
