4.0 out of 5 stars for the gamecube it's alright, 15 Mar 2004
I thought the last review was a bit harsh, ok so the game is like playing the first rainbow six but considering the lack of any games on the gamecube that don't involve talking fish, cyborgs with pixie abilities or any other typical japanese non sense, i think it's ok.

There are only a few other games that are based on the real world that are available and if you can pick this game up cheap (£10-£15) i think it's worth the money.

The missions are quite detailed and varied and involve REAL LIFE situations. The controls are a bit sticky and aiming without the auto-aim on would be frustrating, but with auto-aim on it's fine. Basically this game is like the first rainbow six, but different missions and unfortunately you can't plan out your missions, your given a plan already (people who have played rainbow six will know what i mean). Although this also isn't a bad thing, console owners don't tend to have the time to sit and plan an operation for hours anyway so that's best left to the PC.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing, 7 May 2003
This game is a blatant attempt to cash in on the film/novel - I finished it in an afternoon, and swapped it for something else. The controls are terrible, as I discovered when I tried to use the aiming, which has an effect similar to that in the Boomshine Saigon mission in Vice City, but isn't as amusing.

The other thing to note is that the text for the cutscenes seems to have been translated from swahili into english via finnish by someone who was unfamiliar with any of those languages. If you want a decent Tom Clancy game, wait for Splinter Cell (which rocks on the PC), or get Ghost Recon if you're a massive GR fan.

Red Storm games usually stands for high quality, but they really slipped up here. What went wrong?
