Product Description

Manufacturer's Description

In The Terminator the year is 2027; the machines of Skynet have risen, reaping a bloody harvest of human flesh across the globe. You are a soldier of Tech Com, a ragged team of human resistance fighters intent upon stopping the overwhelming onslaught of cybernetic assassins in post-apocalyptic Los Angeles. Your ultimate goal is to reach a time-travel device in time to send Kyle Reese back to 1984, with the hope of preventing a relentless Terminator model T-800 from murdering Sarah Connor, mother of resistance leader John Connor. If you fail in your mission, the resistance will crumble and no one will survive the rise of the machines. The fate of humanity lies in your hands.

3.0 out of 5 stars Terminator dawn of fate, 25 Nov 2002
Lets just say this game could of been far better with every detail of the game including graphics, camera angles, actual gameplay. All of these could be alot better but then again what game could not improve on these?
This game has alot of good factors including the huge levels you have to venture through, the exciting story line and some pretty thrilling battle between you and the terminators.
The weapons are pretty basic but you can still have alot of fun with the shotgun, machine gun, laser guns and my personal favourite the grendae launcher (KABOOM).
If you like first person shoot'em'ups well then this is your game but if you prefer the strategic war game well then stay away from this title you will not give it the attentin it needs.

4.0 out of 5 stars I'll be back!, 27 Nov 2003

Undoubtedly 'The Terminator' is an all time great movie and the game could have been just as good. However, for some reason the makers decided to set the game before the film had actually happened. (if you know what i mean) This i think was a big mistake. Had they stuck to the original storyline of the film and maybe added a few things, this game would have been much more succesful. Don't get me wrong i think its a great game and very entertaining, i just think that it could have been one of the best games ever had the makers made the effort. What also would have been nice, is if they had included video clips of the film.

Basically, in the game you are Reese, and you must get to a time machine to go back to the year 1984 and stop the Terminator from killing the mother of John Conor (the revolt leader) to stop him being born. As you can see its not a bad storyline, i just feel that it could have been better. The graphics make up abit though. And the amount of shooting is great as well, especially if you like kicking some Terminator butt.

Overall, not a bad game however some improvements could be made and hopefully they will be corrected in the new Terminator game 'Terminator 3 : Rise of the Machines'.

If you want a bit of action, some shooting and you are a fan of the Terminator series, then this game is for you.

2.0 out of 5 stars Frankly not that good, 4 Sep 2003
By A Customer
Undeniably 'The Terminator' is an all time classic movie, and it could have been a classic game too, so why come up with something as disappointing as this? You're a tech-com soldier fighting the war against the machines. As you expect there's a far amount of shooting involved, in fact there's a lot of shooting involved. It appears to be the answer to everything.
From graphics, it goes from pretty to rather ordinary. The 'Resident Evil' camera system is also hellish, resulting in the rather annoying effect of control reversals. On a brighter note, each of the levels does include a checkpoint where you can resume play if you accidentally die, and believe me you're going to need it. 'Terminator Dawn of Fate' isn't the worst movie conversion out there, but it reminds repetitive and ultimately dull. If you insist on shelling out for this missed opportunity, think hard about it first.
