In my quest for a new Digital camera i first i looked for at least 3.5 M/P as my existing one was only 2.1 M/P.
But i also wanted a camera that felt like a camera when held, (like my old Olympus OM10 did,) well i held & felt as many as i could until i found the right one. It feels & looks good, its easy to programme, and use with easy read instructions, and as to the quality? well its what i would expect from Olympus, but with a choice of pixel quality to suite my needs. (Only one very minus point , as of yet i have not found anywhere to secure the hanging lens cap when the camera is in use!)

Bought this camera back in May in time for our wedding abroad, it was brilliant. The picture quality is outstanding and the basic use is just point and shoot, however if you wish to get technical there is a huge amount of scope. Only critism is the software for the PC, very basic and is worth upgrading or buying a different one.

Great camera which feels great and produces excellent pictures.

Autofocus is very good, even in low light. Exposure and colour balance is excellent, indoors or outdoors. The LCD display is bright and of good quality.

The software supplied allows you to make many adjustments to pictures, such as rotate, crop, adjust brightness, contrast, colour balance etc.

It seems though that Smartcard is not so popular media these days, the maximum you can buy being 128 Mb.

I would recommend that you buy AC adaptor or good AA batteries charger as well as the camera consumes power pretty fast: the batteries run empty in about 2 hours with LCD display on. It is possible to take pictures with the display off (using optical viewfinder) for much longer, but in this way, you couldn't take advantage of the full functionality. On the other hand, most digital cameras would suffer from the same problem.
