The DSC-P7 Cyber-shot Digital Still Camera combines exceptional image quality with compact design, delivering 3.2 megapixel resolution with a 3X optical zoom lens and intelligent features like 3 area multi-point AF for sharply-focused shots and for low light conditions, Sony’s AF Illuminator briefly illuminates the subject for an accurate focus lock. The multi-burst function captures 16 320x240 frames with 3 selectable intervals for convenient motion analysis. Versatile MPEG movie modes are highlighted with MPEG HQX, which captures 16 fps 320x240 full screen playback video (w/o audio) clips whose length is limited only by the capacity of the media. You can even edit in MPEG clips in the camera with 6X cue/review & divide/delete. This is a camera that will keep up with you and with technology for a long time to come.

I searched for ages in my attempt to find a reasonably priced camera that gives good results. I eventually chose this camera and I am SO glad I did. The picture quality is wonderful- 3.2 MP seems high enough quality for most peoples' needs. The menu is very straight forward and easy to use- a quality I found was lacking in a number of other cameras. Also connecting to a PC is simple if you have Windows XP as I have. It does everything for you!!!! I like the fact that you can also view the images you have taken from the LCD screen as soon as they are taken.

I haven't discovered many down sides to this camera, however the batterys run out very quickly (as is the case for most digital cameras) so it is probably worth getting extra batterys. And of course the memory stick is soon filled so a spare is a must.

On the whole this is a great, easy to use camera which is good value for money. Perfect for a first time user such as myself.

I received this camera as a gift and every time I use it I'm even more impressed with the fantastic results it yields. The clarity, color, and overall quality of the images it produces is unmatched. The camera itself is also very compact (which allows for taking it almost everywhere), durable, and very simple to use.

The only problem I have is that when photographing, I have some difficulty setting the flash to match some types of lighting. In these instances, I often end up with blurry or overexposed looking images. I'm not sure if this is because of something I'm doing incorrectly, or if it's a fault with the camera. In any case, if you're looking for great quality at moderate price, then I'd definitely reccomend this camera.

This is a lovely machine to use. The designers have thought about many details to make this camera very pleasant to use. Immediately after a photo has been captured, the camera will flash the picture on the LCD display. One press of button away, one would be able to review the last photo more carefully. One could, for example, even zoom into that photo to see if the object's eyes were closed. One can take videos within natural lighting. The amount of memory left on the memory stick is the only limitation on how long a video one can take. With a 128MB memory stick, one can record an MPEG video of over five minutes. Sound can be recorded on video too. From my own experience, the sounds recorded was very good. Connection to computers is convenient; especially so if one uses a memory stick reader. Higher resolution and higher zooming capability would be nice, but one get what one pays for. At this price, I find this camera good value at this moment of time.
