Format: DVD
An experimental drug/virus gets loose in the Philippines (?) as people and birds become infecting flesh eaters. There are various subplots involving tourists and the military. The feature has some camp value to it. The initial gun fight sequence was poorly done and comical as people fire at each other at close range and some people with guns seem to be standing around. The bird attack was funny. The zombie makeup only covered the head and hands. The feet and legs were unaffected. The zombies are sometimes foot draggers, other times they can box and fight. Head shots are not required to kill them. And oh yes some talk and think. Just a bad script.

Not worth viewing, even for zombie fans...unless you can't get enough of an 80's action sound track.

Parental Guide: F-bomb. No sex or nudity.

I loved Lucio Fulci's Zombie Flesh Eaters (aka Zombie & Zombi 2), so I figured why not check out Zombie Flesh Eaters 2 (aka Zombi 3). I already knew the movie would be bad, so I bought it expecting just that. Of course its not a worthy sequel to the first two entries in the series, but its still enjoyable, for exactly the opposite of what made Zombie Flesh Eaters so good. The acting, story, makeup, editing are all bad, but it just adds to the fun. This film has zombie birds, flying zombie heads, a zombie baby, and more off-the-wall outragousness. I found my self actually laughing aloud at some moments. Finally, for those of you that loved Zombie Flesh Eaters, just know what your buying here. This is NOT like that film; it is almost a mockery of it. If you only like serious well-made horror flicks, avoid this film. If you like seeing rare gems like this to be entertained by the the outragousness and stupidity of them, pick this up today! As for me, I am going to pick up Zombie Flesh Eaters 3 right now!

I am a big fan of Zombie Flesh Eaters, I didn't think there were many zombie movies that could beat it, let alone other horror ones. So when I saw this, I had to watch it. It started off pretty poorly, but as with a lot of these type of movies, this was nothing new. I was waiting for the best to come. It never really came.
Sure, there was some good parts, like some of the zombie scenes (The one in the abandoned village after a woman gets her legs ripped off in particular), but there was some god-awful parts too. Talking zombies, speedy zombies, martial-arts-expert zombies, not to mention a really stupid floating head scene. The acting is also terrible, but that's kinda the beauty of these films.
My advice is only buy this if you can't find it on rental, or are a total zombie movie fan. Even then, odds are you'll be dissapointed. Stick with the first movie, or the Romero trilogy.

Not all that bad a zombie movie, with the zombies pretty well depicted, and the kind of innovation that they can move at a much faster speed than the normal staggering
However, you cannot look past Peter Jackson's Braindead (Dead/Alive) if you want a zombie movie

I am a huge fan of zombie/cannibal movies but I must say I was disappointed by this effort. Now on the case it states 'directed by Lucio Fulci'. To an extent that is correct. He directed some of it but he fell ill half-way through making it. So, some other guy stepped in. If Fulci had continued directing the movie it could have been very good. I assume Fulci directed most of the start of this film which is the best part of the movie. As things move on though, it just gets worse and worse. There is no where near as much gore in this film as there is to ZFE1. There is a good effect at the start where a guy cuts off his infected hand (possibly nicked from Evil Dead 2) and there is a few more good gore scenes, but not enough. The zombies look okay but I whish they would have kept with the normal zombie concept of them being slow and not able to speak. The plot is basic, sometimes confusing, there is the usual bad acting (but hey, its the same in all these movies).
So, all in all this is a dissapointing sequel to a classic film. Buy 'the Beyond' in stead for a real fulci film.

Rediculous Zombie film but I think for the most part its just a complete and utter piss take. Worth a watch for some comedy moments.

This eagarly awaited release has gone way beyond the expectations I had of it. Unlike the dreadfully tacky original Zombie Flesh Eaters 2 has more structure, a quicker and slicker storyline and much better SFX. Despite this however it hasn't lost the naively poor acting and laughable script so dear to this type of cult classic. A particularly funny part sees one of the heroic male protagonists shouting "Roger" as he (wait for it), gamboles through an open hatch when the far safer and less embarrassing way would have been to simply walk through it. Oh, and in another hilarious moment a flock of ravenous, zombiefied birds of prey start attacking people....But oh dull these movies would be without such moments!!
Without giving too much of the storyline the film basically revolves around a toxic spill in a science lab which predictably results in everyone becoming staggering, blood thirsty zombies. Unlike the first 'Zombie Flesh Eaters' this release has relentless action from the outset with scores of gruesome scenes and gangs of rampaging zombies a plenty. This is a must for all gore fans and it's the best Vipco offering for a long while. With its fine blend of splattering zombies, gushing goo and moments of unintened comedy, 'Zombie Flesh Eaters 2' has the perfect recipe of a great horror flic. Good stuff- well worth buying!
