Given the age of these recordings, the sound is terrific. I have various recordings of the individual syphonies, collected over 40 odd years - This set is wonderful - dare I say the price is worth it for the superb performance of the 5th symphony on it's own! If you like to buy complete sets of symphonies, don't hesitate go for this set, and sit back and get to grips with this fine composer.
