Synopsis

A season that promised so much for Liverpool finally saw them finish second in the Premiership behind eventual winners Arsenal. This DVD rounds up all the action on the pitch, and all the drama off it, as manager Gerard Houllier suffered a major heart attack during a game, but survived to be interviewed exclusively for this disc.

This video is a MUST for all true Reds (unless of course, you've taped every single televised match they have played this season, in which case, theres no point in getting it!) It shows all the highlights from the season that saw Liverpool take second place in the Premiership and finish in their highest position ever, one step closer to the crown!!
Containing all the goals from every Premiership match, as well as interviews with the players and "Mean Machine" where some of the best players are profiled, you are guaranteed to enjoy this video. The only thing I can criticize is the cheesy music that they play inbetween the highlights of each match, but with any luck, you'll be out of your seat and singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" as if you were in the KOP any way!
As far as end of season review videos go, there's no MATCH for this!

This programme shows the definitive record of the 2001/2002 season from Liverpool FC which saw the Reds finished second in the league, reached the quarter finals on their return to the European Cup after a long absence and manager Gerard Houllier had to be out of action from October (2001) to March (2002) due to heart surgery. There is plenty of highlights to savour such as three magnificent wins over rivals Manchester United which includes one in the Charity Shield in Cardiff and two in the league, a 3-1 derby win away at Everton, a couple of thrashings of Ipswich Town both home (5-0) and away (6-0), a late winner at home to Chelsea and the Super Cup triumph over Bayern Munich in Monaco, the campaign also saw star striker Michael Owen finished the season as top scorer including a hat-trick away in a 5-0 thrashing against FC Haka in the Champions League qualifier first leg and his late strike away at West Ham United reached a milestone of 100 goals for Liverpool, it also saw striker Robbie Fowler netted a hat-trick away at Leicester City before moving to Leeds United later in the season. This DVD shows highlights of every Premiership, League Cup, FA Cup and Champions League match with commentary material supplied by BBC, ITV and Sky Sports at 90 mins full of action and drama aplenty and it is written and narrated by Robert McCaffrey, although it's not the best produced programme but it's still well worth your time.
