Good size and features, 18 Oct 2002
My friend has this phone so I borrow it at every opportunity. The vibrate function is good, although I did scream when it went off in my hand!! (has anybody noticed that everyone can hear the vibrate, you might as well just have it on silent?!). It has lots of fun things you can waste your time on, like supermen flying into walls for a screensaver, WAP, downloadable ring tones (5), and games like snake. Being a teenager, it is perfect for wasting time when you should be working! It also has useful features like predictive text, and it actually fits into your pocket so you don't need to cart a bag round everywhere! The size is one of the main advantages; it is not too small, so it's actually possible to type messages on it, but it is not too big. It has an aerial but the positive features outweigh it; plus it's not one of those big ariels that look like a telephone mast (actually that's what most of them are!). Nokia afficionados may despair to hear that it has- gasp - no changeable covers. However, it's a lot smaller (and lighter) than the Nokia 3310, with the added feature of WAP, all for a lesser price, so just don't waste your time (you can do that once you've bought the Motorola T191!). Reputation, reputation...don't let the fact that it's not a Nokia put you off. It's not a car, not even a Skoda (which are OK but Ford are better) so why bother with brands and hype? In fact a gaggle of my nokia-owning friends swarmed all over my mate's motorola- for several very good reasons. It's small, it's silver (like the beige of computers, or maybe the new black), and it's packed with features. And at £59.99 (+p&p), it's an absolute bargain!! Overall this is a very good phone-it's really really small (compared to a brick anyway), has games which are just essential if you don't want to get beaten up (ouch!), and a shiny silver face- why would you want to change that?!
