Well here we go! It all kicks off with the first (quite unprofessional) but no less enjoyable 'Market Square Heroes' video with Fish complete with greasepaint. Ending up with (if you can find it) the hidden video of 'Deserve'. It hidden in the Easter lyrics if thats any help. With too many tracks to mention individually. This covers the eight albums Marillion released under EMI (who they are now back with). The highlights are the amusing 'Garden Party', 'He Knows You Know' with a tortured Fish! Also 'Hooks in You' the first single with Steve Hogarth (where he was a worried man let me tell you - I think we heard 'Hooks..' about twenty times at Brixton academy that day!!) The music is excellent, the videos varied. Apparently the band never liked the 'Assassing' video much, 'Marillion playing James Bond they called it'. The sublime 'Sugar Mice' is worth it for the music alone; while songs culled from 1994's 'Brave' come from the movie of the album and seem out of place in a singles context.

Overall you cant argue with the music, there's plenty of laughs on the way and with over twenty tracks its certainly value for money. Shame about the lack of extras though. Only the lyrics and the discography are included! A few interviews would have been good.

As a minor fan of Marillion in the 1980's when Fish was the lead singer, I saw this dvd and bought it because I really like Heart of Lothian. I'd never heard Marillion with Steve Hogarth as the lead singer. So when I got this dvd, I was completely blown away. H has a fantastic voice, so passionate. The music is fantastic. From the haunting Easter to the energetic Hooks in You. Every track on this DVD is a winner. The only question I have is if you are still reading this review why? Go and buy this Dvd, it'll be one of your best ever purchases.

To start off: Marillion are one of the best bands in the world and, throughout over 20 years of music, have given people the chance to come across what I consider to be some of the best poetry of the 20th century. If all the citizens of this world could hear and understand what Fish (first) and H (Steve Hogarth - now) have been saying for the past 20 years we would, most definetly, live in a better world. To the DVD itself: I prefer the Steve Hogarth era, so it is a bit frustrating to me that this DVD misses a huge part of his career with Marillion as that career has been going on away from EMI. The videos (almost every single one of them) are very good, spaning from the 80's rubbish to the 90's thoughtfulness. Particularly interesting gems are: Sugar Mice, Uninvited Guest and, especially, Beautiful, which is one of the best songs ever written and one of the best videos ever made. Brave is undoubtedly (at least for me) the best album ever made by anyone in rock but can't be turned into two or three singles. Listen to all of it and see the whole film (utterly brilliant).
