4.0 out of 5 stars Funky moves, 6 Jun 2002
By A Customer
I wanted to learn street jazz but really don't have time to go to classes. When the video first started I thought there was no way I'd pick up the steps - but that's what the rewind button's there for! The steps aren't shown full speed at first - which is just as well! But when they're all put together it looks brilliant, whether you're taking it seriously or not.
This is the closest most of us will get to a choreographer of this calibre, and the steps are easy to adapt for your own routines.

5.0 out of 5 stars A FANTASTIC VIDEO FOR DANCERS OR WANNABE DANCERS!!, 19 Sep 2003
By A Customer
As a dancer with no previous training in sreet jazz, I had no idea what to expect from this video. The funky, up-to-date style had me hooked from the first routine - all credit to Nicky Bentley and her fantastic original choreography, which was well-presented by a group of great dancers from Pineapple Studios! I liked the way that the routines were shown as an actual performance at the end of each section and not just in the dance studio, and it was interesting to see how the camera shots of the performances were done in the style of a music video, which is how this style of dance is often viewed by many of us. If you dance the entire video through, from warm up through each of the routines, it is also an excellent workout which will leave you buzzing!! This video is totally addictive!!(when is the next one due out ......?)

5.0 out of 5 stars Still the best dance teaching in England and his proves it!, 21 Oct 2003
By Max (Scunthorpe, N. Lincs United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
I bought the video almost a yera ago now, and I totally agree with what the other three people have said about Pineapple's Street Jazz video. It's fantastic!

It does stsrt off slowly as if you are a beginner, and going through each part of the routine bit by bit. "Up to speed" is a chance to test your speed once you've mastered the routine, before you test your remeberence skills by pitting your wits against the 'pop video'.

Once you've mastered Gotta Get Thru This (3rd); Too Close (1st) and Hit 'Em Up Style (2nd) seem quite lame, they're just so easy! But by god, does the third tire you out!

Pit your wits even more by getting the artists singles, then you don't have to stand in fromt of the TV screen!

Definately looking forward to getting Funk Fushion.
