5.0 out of 5 stars Don't believe the hype, it's a sequel..., 9 May 2003
By A Customer
I said 'Bring the Noise' cos 'I know You Got Soul'.

It's bin a long time since I left you
without a strong rhyme to step to...

Some absolute classics here that I've not heard since I was 13 and that was on a tape of a tape of a tape...

Glad to hear the originals in crystal clear CD quality audio, especially 'Light Years Away' and 'Electric Kingdom' from very early eighties.

I think I'll just go and spin on my head in the garage and do some body poppin' and spray can some trains.

One tiny minor complaint is that Axel F is just 3 minutes long. Now come on there must be an extended version somewhere out there.

Roll on vol. 3.

3.0 out of 5 stars Classics coupled with Rubbish, 5 Jul 2002
By A Customer
A real mixed bag, There are bonafide classics from in here (about 80% of the album) along with a whole bunch of tracks that are best forgotten. Do we really need Jason Nevins doing Run DMC when there are some many classics...badly compiled

2.0 out of 5 stars a bit boring, to be honest!, 20 May 2002
By A Customer
Unless you are a learning breakdance and need a soundtrack, this CD is quite dull! The cover sold it, plus the fact its been advertised above-the-line. However, it's only what it says it is, "The Essential Old School Revision". Thought it would be a bit more hip-hop funky, but it was only electro-breakbeats!
