Boy, Extreme Warfare is right!, 5 Oct 2002
The card here reads like a Who's Who of pro-wrestling and it is interesting to see future WWE and WCW stars like Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit,Cactus Jack and the Steiners mixing it up with the stars of Team Extreme. This event is a great reminderof the time when ECW wasthe NO1 federation in the US! To kick things of, we see just how Chris Beniot earned his 'crippler' moniker as we watch him breaking Sabu's neck! With this having set the tone, all you have to do is sit back and watch the action ECW-style! The Sandman and Terry Funk are instantly in the thick of things as they do battle with 'The Franchise' Shane Douglas and Cactus Jack. The Public Enemy and the Gangstas take it to each other in an Extreme Death Match. Tag-Team specialists The Steiner Brothers make their ECW debuts at the Orange County Fair by decimating the Vampire Warrior and Dudley Dudley. Then the Sandman puts his ECW world title at stake against Cactus Jack in a bloody barbed-wire match. History was made in the ECW arena as Beulah McGullicutty and Francine get it on in the first-ever catfight. Also, a young Chris Jericho battles Sabu in a technically sound affair. But as good as all this is,it can't beat the main event, which see's 'Primetime' Brian Lee and Tommy Dreamer risk there lives as they try to end there epic feud by battling above the ring on a swinging scaffold. Another inspired piece of booking from Paul Heyman and reason enough to add this fine video to your collection!
