    A nice(optional) gui installation, with an installation replay option. Nice gui(if you like that sort of thing) with most of the features you would expect.It recognized my USB wheelmouse, SB Live, graphics card and even put an icon for my TV card on the default desktop, though it can still be made pure cli for the more traditional unix user.
    Although you cannot natively play windows games on it, for general office, development and multimedia it is a cheaper and more reliable alternative to XP. And it has a small selection of games of its own.

    After installing Mandrake 7.1 without a hitch a couple of years ago, I was keen to give Mandrake 8.2 a try. After numerous attempts to install it, resulting in an hdist error, I finally found out that the media had to be patched before I could continue with the install.

    A warning to any other AMD K6 users out there: If you buy this, then download the patch and instructions on how to install it from Mandrake's website.

    After I did this, the installation proceeded with no trouble and the manual that comes with the CDs is really informative too.
