I am not saying that this is in any way accurate to the Stephen King story but as a short action/horror movie, this in my opinion is very underrated and enjoyable and has definitely got better on repeated viewing because the first time I saw this, I didn't think it was anything special and certainly in no way did I find it scary and still don't, that is why I class it has an action/horror because each time I have seen it since, I have truly enjoyed it more and more.

This is one of those films that you might have seen but can't remember what it is called and I have a feeling that a lot of other people rate this highly even if they don't like to admit it, seriously, when I say I think this is an action/horror masterpiece, I truly mean every word and I have absolutely no shame in saying it. It all starts off with an outsider, a loner man who goes to a small town community called Gates Fall and gets a job there after a decrepit textile mill next to a cemetery is reopened, he and some of the locals get a job there and end up having to clean the basement but the problem is they are not alone, not only do they have to deal with rats but also some kind of giant killer rat monster.

I love the weirdness of the town and weirdness of the locals in this film and the tension and claustrophobia in the basement is filmed brilliantly, it is a joy from beginning to end. From a personal point of view, I have just one problem, I cannot find a new region 2 copy of this anywhere (certainly not at a reasonable price), oh well I will just have to wait until it is on terrestrial TV again (if ever). AN ACTION/HORROR MASTERPIECE.
